Kenya African traditional dances

Music is an international language in a dance. Dance is not unusual in the African culture, has in recent years, used to mark special occasions and parties. There are eight provinces of Kenya, but five major regions. Each region has a style of popular dance with unique ethnic, in northern Kenya, Western Kenya, Central, East Coast and Kenya.

The north is famous Masai tribes. This ethnic group has managed to survive the test of time and kept their traditions and customs. The Masai are a different dance to the achievement of a circle and the high jump. The women wear beads around their necks, or Sangha, used for dancing, singing traditional music. Unlike the Maasai dances, dances focus mainly on the movements of the vital coastal life. Chakacha is a popular dance of the tribes of coastal and her music is often traditional or taarab.
